Teaching
Presently, Portland State University is one of a handful of universities in North America with formal credit-based graduate-level electronic government course offerings.
Spring and summer terms 2003 we will be offering PA-510 (Electronic Government: Innovation and Leadership in a Transformed Marketplace). This course focuses on the strategy of pursuing electronic government as a transformational activity to escape the trap of falling budgets and failing tax initiatives. It considers the role that leadership must play in setting policy, driving innovation, and mining the possibilities of a new service model based that is network-focused, information-based, and technology-leveraged. The course draws from the literature and experiences of both public and private sector organizations.
We also provide custom seminars, symposia, and executive briefings on electronic government and lean service delivery strategies.
